Maroubra House Sydney

This project was a renovation of a house in the beachside suburb of Maroubra. The original house was an ugly, dilapidated 1940’s building that was desperate for some attention. The pivotal decision for this job was how to resolve the fact that the main access and views was from the south of the site and the level garden and the sun was from the north of the site.

The decision was made at an early stage to reverse the house and to relocate the main access to the upper, norther side and to have the house as open as possible to allow views through to the south.

This house has been featured in Houzz online magazine and was on the cover of Trends International magazine.
